5 years ago The marksmanship trainer is already with some units, and advanced vehicle and aircraft simulators are planned for 2021. The goggles are fielding to both Army and Marine Corps close combat units over the next two years. The system melds navigation, targeting, situational awareness and communications into a single device with advanced thermal and night vision. The lottery winner says it's important "that we never forget the sacrifices our soldiers and families make for our country." Some items are in development but big advances are likely years away. The Army is developing technology that will help bomb technicians for the first time get a visual on buried threats such as landmines or IEDs. Load More
