In a Pentagon background briefing on Tuesday, a senior U.S. defense official shared several updates. It was noted that reports of Russian forces being misled on their mission in Ukraine are true, and that the 40-mile-long Russian convoy north of Kiev has stalled.
“In a sobering note,” Washington Post military reporter Dan Lamothe wrote, “Russia is still expected to adjust and has combat power to do so, a senior U.S. defense official said.”
