Corps boots autistic Marine
They should charge the recruiter instead of Pvt. Joshua Fry. Fry was taken away from a controlled environment geared toward his condition and thrown into an environment where he didn’t have a chance. It is the Corps’ fault for pulling him out of his group home. The Corps needs to show some honor and integrity here in making a wrong, right.

I find this whole episode an utter and complete disgrace. I can’t believe they didn’t pick up on what should have been a major clue — picking up Fry from a group home.

While I can’t condone Fry’s actions, it is crystal clear that a monumental FAIL just happened on the part of the Marine Corps. There are many cracks to slip through in the Corps’ system, and Fry found pretty much all of them. Fry had better not be the only one left holding the bag.

Banning dogs from base housing
Banning certain breeds is a knee-jerk reaction to owners who don’t supervise their kids and dogs.
— CSBurns
We should ban some of the owners of these types of dogs. Dogs aren’t inherently bad. People make them bad by encouraging bad behavior. It’s just like raising kids. If you let them get away with acting like animals, they will act like animals.

I think dog owners should better handle their dogs. If they can’t, then appropriate action should be taken. Not all pit bulls or Rottweilers need to be banned from base housing.

I’m kind of on the fence. I know that a dog’s personality is generally a product of the way it was brought up, but nature is going to take over. Neutering is important. Without it, all breeds are more aggressive.
